Stories from Faro (Tales, legends, folk tales and myths about carnivores in the Tchamba Community)

This storybook was developed by the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), which runs a structured and sustainable environmental education programme in northern Cameroon to complement community tree-planting day and sustainable livelihoods as tools for conservation. The stories below were collected from the Tchamba community. Although storytelling is on the decline these days, there are still a few storytellers in every village in Northern Cameroon in general and around the Faro National Park in particular.
